Your use of contrast is outstanding. It makes the subject, Dr. House, pop out and catch viewers. The eyes especially draw attention because you have captured the serious look of Hugh Laurie as well as the personality and soul of Hugh Laurie quite well.

Your attention to detail also makes this piece come to life. You took great care to make the scruff realistic, to include the tiniest detail in his iris, and to make the cane look like it is made of a different material than the rest (as it should).

At first I did not like the choppy background, but the more I look at it the more I like it because it fits House's personality and it gives contrast between the subject and background.
